The Wasteland Survival Guide is basically a Fallout 3: Fallout New Vegas fanfic turned into a real e-book. Those of you who hadn't played the series are missing out, as you would then understand the references and explain why the guns are NOT accurate... They are accurate to the game, not to the real world. It is also edited so it doesn't mention the specific factions. There is no Brotherhood of Steel, or New California Republic, or such. And bounty-hunters got shortened to "Bravos", but otherwise, this is *the* Wasteland Survival Guide talked about in the game, with bits and piece from the game as well as some tall-tales (anecdotes) that are, well, obviously fictional. Those who play the Fallout series of games would get more from the book. Those who just read it will merely find it interesting.Product details

Would like to see more of this story. Fun read
I ordered this for my husband for Christmas, and it came early which I loved. He is enjoying the book thus far! Great buy!
for effort, but it almost felt like the author was trying to stay generic and do a little world-building on the side. I may wind up using it if I ever run a post-apocalyptic RPG.
I liked the back-and-forth changes in perspective and the wit. I especially liked her comments on weapons and the disparaging remarks about people who chose shotguns - then the story switches perspective and the hero tells us about his shotgun -)
I sure hope the post-Apocalyptic world is NOT even close to what he describes. It was an OK book, but choppy and not particularly engaging. Just about the only real tip for prepping I could see was to get over normalcy bias and expect nothing to be "normal."
This is one fun book! Told in a series of short stories and tall tales inter-spaced with the more sober info from the main character's partner. Full of pop culture references and a few nods to the Fallout game series. Some folks think it could use some proof reading, but, would you expect perfect grammar from someone in a post apocalyptic wasteland? Didn't think so. So, enjoy the book! (but if I catch you rustling my goats I'll kill ya dead!) ;)
